Inspired equally by the Renaissance painters, Asian Cinema and Africa’s great portrait photographers,
Zubin Shroff’s images are known for their great attention to color and composition, and the quiet confidence he reveals in his
subjects. His environments are an essential part of the image, consciously composed and controlled to add meaning or pose
questions; they often contribute as much to the narrative as the people themselves.
Residing in New York he grew up between London and Mumbai. Zubin is a recipient of numerous awards for his work. In 2008
he published The Cosmopolitans, which has been exhibited around the world. His work is represented by Voges + Partner
Galerie in Europe and Matthieu Foss Gallery in India.
